Vegetarian Sautéed Mushrooms
Mushrooms sauteed in Supreme Sauce with jasmine rice. In Ghana and other parts of West Africa, this is referred to as “rice and stew”
Ingredients
Sautéed Mushrooms
- 1 pound common mushroom 
- 100 g onions 
- 1 large bell pepper 
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
- 1 teaspoon Mrs Dash Seasoning (salt-free) 
- 4.5 table spoon Supreme Sauce Marinade 
- 2 table spoon vegetable oil 
Boiled rice
- 2 cups of jasmine rice 
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 
- 3 cups of water 
Method
Sauteed vegetables
- Chop mushrooms, onions and bell peppers into fine slices 
- Pour 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil into frying pan or wok 
- Heat at low temperature for three minutes and add chopped vegetables 
- Add seasonings and stir 
- Pour Supreme Sauce in pan and mix evenly for 5 minutes until vegetables soften 
Boiled rice
- Pour rice into a colander to rinse 
- Pour into bowl and add water and salt 
- Stir and cover with a tight lid 
- Leave to steam for 10 minutes at low temperature until rice softens 
- Enjoy!
